Employer Based Training
A flexible course that enables students to acquire practical skills with a host company in a skill area of their choice. The course is a combination of on-the-job and in-centre training. The EBT co-ordinator will support both student and employer.
Personal Mental Health Recovery in Practice (Focus)
For students with experience of mental ill health who want to enhance their levels of personal development, community integration & physical & mental well being & vocational orientation. The course supports students in clarifying their future options using a range of centre & community based activities.
Personal Mental Health Recovery in Practice (Home Focus)
Designed to enable students who experience mental health difficulties to enhance their mental health, independent living skills, level of connection to their own communities, quality of life, access to training, education & employment options and future planning. The course is delivered to people in their own homes and communities by a multi-disciplinary team.
Horticulture (Centre Based or by Distance Learning)
Provides students with the opportunity to acquire theoretical and practical skills to enter employment in the horticultural industry e.g. garden centres, garden design & maintenance, landscaping.
Introductory Skills Training
Designed to enable students to develop the knowledge, skills & attitudes necessary to make realistic vocational choices for training or employment, based on their own needs & strengths.
Business & IT Studies (Home, Community & Centre Based Programme)
The course aims to equip students with the skills and competencies in Information Technology needed to obtain employment or access further training. Supports available including regular visits from the Distance Learning Instructor and regular centre meetings with fellow students. Employment placements are part of the programme. Skills are acquired in your own home on equipment supplied by the centre.
Rehabilitative Training
Provides students with a range of personal, social & work related skills, and helps them achieve greater levels of independence & community integration. Students also experience improved health & social gain, as they identify achievable goals leading on to further training, education or employment.
